At our organisation, our Supreme Cloud platform operates on VMware, a leading name in hypervisor technology. This platform hosts a multitude of our clients, affording them the opportunity to leverage its rich feature set. As demand for our cloud services surged, we conducted a meticulous assessment of our existing hardware infrastructure, evaluating factors like compute power, network throughput, and storage capacity. This evaluation underscored the necessity for a series of upgrades to uphold the high-quality service standards our clients have come to expect.
Maintaining uninterrupted service delivery was our paramount concern throughout the upgrade process. After all, the essence of cloud technology lies in its ability to minimise downtime across a spectrum of operational scenarios encountered by servers and virtual servers over their lifespan.
Our team of system administrators collaborated closely with our hardware, network, and storage vendors to devise a comprehensive upgrade strategy. Subsequently, we commenced the acquisition of the requisite hardware components and meticulously planned their installation. This involved replacing our existing compute nodes with the latest-generation counterparts, each boasting four times the processing power of their predecessors. Furthermore, we upgraded our storage network infrastructure to enhance switch redundancy, elevate throughput, fortify error monitoring capabilities, and accommodate anticipated future growth.
In September 2023, we completed the upgrade project, seamlessly transitioning our clients without any disruption to their services. Today, our clients benefit from an improved underlying infrastructure, primed to support their evolving business needs with efficiency and reliability.
