About BTC Solutions

BTC Solutions is the software arm of BTC a training and consultancy company to the motor trade. The main product of BTC Solutions is autoVHC a new internet-based Vehicle Health Check system designed to help dealerships identify and sell work found during customer visits more effectively.

The system was developed and launched by software developers’ autoVHC a company that was acquired in late 2007 by motor trade performance improvement specialists BTC. autoVHC, uses hand-held Pocket PC technology that allows dealership technicians to conduct their Health Checks on cars coming into the workshop faster and more efficiently than traditional paper-based systems. The software is highly intuitive and easy to use, having been refined based on feedback from numerous dealership technicians.

Our main requirements from a hosting point of view was reliability and a high level of support, our system is high use 6 days a week between 7am and 7pm so it needs a reliable host that can sort any issues quickly. We also required mix of Linux and Windows servers on the same network and we required clustering technologies to ensure the system was scalable and reliable with both load balancing and high availability employed.
